Project Overview

The City of Milwaukee Department of Public Works (DPW) is rehabilitating the 25th Street Bridge over the Menomonee River for a total project length proposed to be 550 feet. The rehabilitation will include concrete surface repair to the substructure, concrete deck repairs and concrete overlay of the deck, and concrete surface repairs to the sidewalk, curb, and parapets.

Goals

  • Rehabilitate the existing structure
  • Make travel safe and comfortable all users by providing a solid surface across the deck

Scope of Work

  • Concrete surface repair to the substructure
  • Concrete deck repairs and concrete overlay to the deck
  • Concrete surface repairs to the sidewalk, curb, and parapets
  • Installation of new expansion joints

Funding

The construction project is funded through the Wisconsin Department of Transportation Local Bridge Program and includes 80% Federal Funding and 20% City funding.
