Located in Milwaukee's 1st Aldermanic District, 40th & Douglas is a 1.17-acre neighborhood park that serves the surrounding community with opportunities for recreation, play, and gathering. This project will reimagine the park through a series of improvements designed to create a more welcoming, active, and inclusive public space.

Planned improvements include:

• Wisconsin's first KOMPAN FitBlock fitness space
• A new playground and pavilion
• Enhancements to the existing basketball courts
• Upgraded park amenities, landscaping, and other site improvements

Art and design will also be an important part of the planning process, with opportunities to incorporate elements that celebrate and reflect the character and identity of the surrounding neighborhood.

Community input will play a key role in shaping the final design and helping to prioritize improvements that best serve neighborhood residents.
