About the Milwaukee Budget Hearing
Each year, the Mayor, Common Council and City of Milwaukee staff work together to develop an annual balanced budget.
This involves making decisions on how to use the revenues the City of Milwaukee receives to provide high quality services for Milwaukee residents.
As part of the budget process, the Mayor hosts a public budget hearing to share the requested budgets for the upcoming fiscal year and receive comment from the community.
This year, the Milwaukee Budget Hearing is being held as an open-house style format on Wednesday, July 9 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the City Hall Rotunda (200 E. Wells Street) with representatives from City departments present to discuss their requested budgets for 2026.
This online webpage was created to provide information and collect feedback from those that are unable to attend the in-person meeting, or those wishing to leave their feedback digitally at the event.
