This City of Milwaukee is designing a traffic safety improvement project on Hopkins Street (from Locust to Capitol), and connecting west along Capitol Drive and north on 34th Street and Hopkins.

This project will include protected bike lanes and create a safer street environment that is more comfortable for people walking, biking, driving, and taking transit.

Preliminary Design

Check out the slides below to view the design so far, some potential design alternatives, and then give your feedback to the design team by taking our survey.

Two street section drawings showing a two-way protected bike lane and one-way protected bike lanes.
