The City of Milwaukee is working to create connections for people walking and biking between S. Bay Street and the KK River Trail as part of a broader connection between the KK River Trail and the South Shore Line of the Oak Leaf Trail.

This project will include a mix of off-street trail and protected bike lanes. New off-street trail is planned from S. Bay Street at E. Lincoln Avenue to E. Bay Street at S. Kinnickinnic Avenue. A combination of protected bike lanes and shared use path is planned along S. Kinnickinnic Ave from E. Bay Street to the KK River Trail at E. Maple Street.
