The City of Milwaukee's Transportation & Mobility Plan

The City of Milwaukee is developing its first citywide Transportation and Mobility Plan, which will guide how we design, operate, maintain, and invest in our streets. 414 in Motion: The City of Milwaukee’s Transportation & Mobility Plan will become part of the City's Comprehensive Plan upon its completion and will replace the Citywide Policy Plan’s Transportation Chapter.

The process

414 in Motion will be a data- and community-driven planning process to:

  • outline key policy needs and develop priorities
  • identify transformative physical infrastructure projects
  • set a vision for the future of mobility in Milwaukee - whether you get around by bus, car, bike, scooter, mobility device, on foot, or all of the above.

The plan will include an implementation and capital improvement plan to make sure that all of Milwaukee benefits from the plan's recommendations.

Help us plan!

414 in Motion presents a unique opportunity for Milwaukee residents to engage in a discussion about how we move around our city. We are now in the second phase of 414 in Motion and are working together as a community to develop strategies, policies, and key transportation projects to shape the future of mobility in Milwaukee. In the coming months, residents can contribute to these ideas through open house events, pop-up events, and online engagement activities.
