The Department of City Development is updating the West Side Area Plan. This area plan is the City’s official guide for land use and development. As an update, this plan will reference the original 2009 plan and adjust where necessary to ensure that recommendations reflect the current needs of the community.

The West Side Area Plan is made up of many unique neighborhoods and commercial corridors. The goal of the Plan is to support thriving neighborhoods where all residents have access and choices for housing, employment, shopping, parks, recreation, and transportation.
